The Fertile Shadow is a socially engaged performance created in residency in Johannesburg. It is a double-edged epic, borrowing from the theatrical tradition from the past to tell a story that speaks of the present. Played on trestle mixing theatre, puppetry and music, the Fertile shadow is an initiatic journey halfway between tale and epic through 6 colours with 5 actors, 12 characters, 2 monkeys, 2 fishes and 3 puppets.

Two men, disenchanted with the city of Athens, have gone out into the wilderness to search for a new life, to construct a new city. Peisthetaerus and Euelpides discover the painfully obvious, that utopia is to be found nowhere on earth. If they are to reach this dream city then they will have to build it themselves. It shall be a city in the clouds, occupied and governed by the birds.

Exsulo, are, aui, atum…Polaroids of Exile is a show whose form, like the exile, is born from emergency. In a limited time, in the limited space of a refugee memory, fragments of sounds, gestures, movements, images, and whispers tell a story beyond the bounds of ‘’our own’’ ways of knowing and being.

A contemporary interpretation of the Romeo and Juliet escape with Secours Populaire Children of Ajaccio. Each tribe is on its way to put an end to this inconceivable relationship between a Zattrouff and a Carapatte. The conflict turns into a collective ritual of intimidation. Step after step, Zattrouffs and Carapattes spin in a fascinating dance…at last, humans join in this surreal ball. Mixing circus skills, the tradition of story telling and introducing musical comedy, The Bestial parade is a Socially Engaged perfromance with socially vulnerable children.

Searching for Dionysus is a site specific collective theatrical and sensorial experience to celebrate wine and those who make it. Maenads and Satyr will lead the audience to meet the illusionist god, Dionysus. He is furious, as men are neglecting him as well as the fruit of the vine. Those who resist, Dionysus will unleash his wrath upon.

Because we can’t take people in the future to see the most likely effects of Climate Change on our society and our planet, we decided as theatre makers, to embark them on an immersive experimentation of a possible future, in 2084.

Leaves and Lashes: High Tea and the Art of Flogging is a site-specific performance in one of the most singular historic buildings of Newcastle, The Lock-Up. Once an old police station, this place of former incarceration and control is now a recognised contemporary art centre; doors which were locked are now opened for unleashed creative freedom.
